Occasionally we take people overseas to meet the clients, see what businesses they are doing, how they are using the loans, meet the Five Talents local staff and learn first-hand how the whole thing works. We encourage participants to share their business experience and to help on a client training workshop. A short safari usually crowns the trip.
In 2007 we visited our programmes in Peru, Tanzania and Uganda. Our partners in the US visited our projects in Sudan and the Dominican Republic in 2007 and one of our projects in India in early 2008. Click here to see the Trip Reports.
From the UK we plan to take a small team to Tanzania during 2008, and we may organise other trips for selected individuals. Please contact the office if you are interest in this area of work.
"The opportunity of meeting African entrepeneurs, sharing skills and ideas, and seeing the impact of Five Talents first-hand is invaluable and thoroughly enjoyable. I recommend a Business As Mission trip!" Shona Passfield (a Trustee of Five Talents who visited Kampala and Nairobi in December 2005.)
Former Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey
“I commend to you Five Talents International. As its first financial supporter, I am happy to see Five Talents giving hope, creating employment and transforming the lives of the poor around the world.”
