Charity Volunteer Days are a great way to learn about microfinance and to help Five Talents in practical ways to deliver excellent programmes. In 2007 we held Charity Days in London with Accenture (18 people) and Goldman Sachs (10 people). The days are structured to use your talents - brainstorming fundraising ideas, developing the marketing stategy. We would like to use "The Apprentice" style challenge for our next day - organising an event, making a video for YouTube or publishing a calendar, poster or leaflet. All this to help the poor. Contact the office to discuss your ideas! See also the Links page to see examples of our Corporate Sponsors.
Your business, school or group might like to link with a Five Talents programme in a particular part of the world, or with entrepreneurs doing specific trades (hairdressers, tailors, grocers, bakers etc.). You can get to know the people involved and can communicate directly with the Loan Officers (by email) and the individual clients - sharing experience, encouragement and ideas. You could link up with:
This approach is best followed after a Business as Mission trip, so that the links are based on a personal encounter. But in any case, contact the office to discuss your ideas.
