A donation in your will to Five Talents will help us to empower individual entrepreneurs in the developing world and allow them to create a better life for their families and friends. However big or small your gift is, your generosity can make a real difference. For example, just 100.00 GBP will help to build an established business while 1,000.00 GBP will help fund a mixed group of entrepreneurs.
With Five Talents' microfinance model, individual entrepreneurs repay loans, together with interest. The interest pays for all of the local running costs, meaning that our donation will be used over and over again, to generate jobs, fight poverty and transform lives. We hope that a donation will be used over and over again, to generate jobs, fight poverty and transform lives. We hope that a donation to Five Talents will allow the memory of your loved one to continue to live on, creating hopw for others in the future.
An "in memory" donation can be arranged at any time, whether to commemorate a birthday, anniversary or other special date.
Yes it will! For instance:
Loans are repaid with interest- which pays for all the local running costs. Each loan is repaid and loaned again approximately every 6 months. This re-cycling means that your donation will continue to generate jobs over and over again. For example, a £1000 donation will generate over 10 jobs in the first 6 months; and a total of 100 jobs over 5 years – benefiting around 500 families and dependents.
Please join us in making a difference in so many lives.
Your gift will automatically be allocated to the greatest need, in line with our 2008 strategy. However it is possible to request how you would like your gift to be used – just let us know when you make your donation. You can specify which country or project you would like your gift to be used in. Contact the office for more details.
On average:
Five
Talents organises microfinance training in various parts of the world.
This is vital to build the capacity of current and future staff in
managing microfinance programmes. It is also a "training of trainers"
opportunity to spread good practice and to scale-up the programmes.
In June 2008 Five Talents sponsored a 5-day training course in Accra,
Ghana covering Micro-Enterprise Development tools and best
practices. Five Talents paid for 20 community development leaders to
attend this training, drawn from 5 different countries. The training
cost was £150 per person plus transport and upkeep.
All organisations need home-support to make things happen, and we welcome donations towards future administrative costs. The Trustees of Five Talents UK are committed to keeping Administration costs below 20% of all expenditure, falling further as we grow. Donations to the General Fund will be used where most needed (Administration, Loans or Training), in line with our annual Budget.
