Testimonials

Rather than try to combat poverty from the top-down, microenterprise fights poverty from the ground up by working to directly to change the lives of those most affected by poverty.

Introduction

Five Talents is currently supporting twelve micro-loan programmes on three continents. Click on the drop down menu above to find details of the country programmes.

The total number of loan clients is now around 20,000, of whom two-thirds are women entrepreneurs.

Each loan reaches more than the individual entrepreneur: including the families of the entrepreneur and the families of their employees means that each loan typically impacts 20 lives. Our target is to reach at least 70,000 loan-clients by the end of 2012, impacting one million people through job creation and family livelihoods.

Our newest project is in Burundi which is launched in partnership with the Mothers' Union in 2010.
