Peru

Doris
Doris is a mother of two and lives in Huancavelica. She used her loan to invest in her textile handicraft business where she makes multicolored scarves, bedspreads and house decorations. When Doris first started her business she had problems when she received orders for multi-coloured scarves or bedspreads because she didn't have enough wool to knit. Her loans enabled her to buy wool in bulk so that she would be able to make a variety of knittings in different colors. Doris is now never late in fulfilling her orders.
Doris says this type of loan helps women like her to become leaders of their families and it has helped her to contribute more to her family so that they don't have to wait for her husband's salary.

She has taken 3 loans which have really helped to put the business on track.
