Background

Five Talents has been working in Uganda since 2001 in partnership with the Church of Uganda (Anglican). Three microfinance programs have been established in Kabale, Kasese and Kampala. The local partners in collaboration with Five Talents are now consolidated under one legal organization known as "Five Talents Uganda" with its own management Board and national staff. Five Talents Uganda (FTU) is now in a stage of maturing those three branches and in time, will expand effectively into other parts of the country.

Goals of Five Talents Uganda

Project Description

In early 2010, Five Talents Uganda welcomed a new Finance Manager and a new Operations Manager. Despite high commodity prices in 2009 and 2010 impacting on small business owners, FTU has had stable and improved performance up to the third quarter of 2010.

Five Talents UK is committed to supporting FTU and the Church of Uganda in reaching needy communities and expanding in the years ahead.

As of January 2011, there are 3,385 active clients with an average loan of £75.

Invitation

Our target in 2011 is to raise £70,000 for FTU. Click here to find out how you can donate.
