Key Africa-based Appointment for Five Talents

by Five Talents | Mar 2, 2026

Claudette Kigeme has joined the Five Talents Global Programme Team as Head of Partner Training and Mentoring. Claudette brings a wealth of experience and expertise as a community trainer and programme coordinator, having previously held the role of Provincial Coordinator of Mothers’ Union Burundi for 27 years.

In welcoming Claudette to this new role based in eastern Africa, Rachel Lindley, Five Talents UK CEO and Chief Programme Officer, said:

‘We are thrilled to welcome Claudette to this new role, where she will continue serving marginalised women, families and communities, as she did with Mothers’ Union. Claudette brings with her a wealth of knowledge and unparalleled experience as we continue to develop our training and facilitating approaches with literacy and savings groups. As Five Talents continues to grow, Claudette’s appointment will enable us to extend our work to more families across eastern, central and southern Africa as we seek to transform lives through social and economic empowerment.’

In starting her new role Claudette Kigeme, reflected:

‘In Ecclesiastes 3 verse 1 it says, there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. As I take up this new role I am mindful of the privilege I have had to work for nearly three decades in Burundi, serving communities through the work of Mothers Union – so much to celebrate and be thankful for. But I am also excited to now begin this new chapter, supporting Five Talents’ programme growth across the region. My hope and prayer is that many more women and families will have the opportunity to participate in the transforming work of literacy and savings groups.’
