When Ebele lost her husband at a young age, she faced a future filled with uncertainty. Overnight, she became the sole provider for her children – shouldering the burden of care, survival and hope.

She was faced with the difficulty of getting funds to expand her kiosk but when a savings group was formed she saw not only financial support but a lifeline toward realising her dreams. For the first time, she could access not only a loan, but a trusted support system. With her small loan, she expanded her business and opened her doors to young women seeking skills and mentorship. Through apprenticeships, Ebele began to teach dressmaking and entrepreneurship – passing on the knowledge that had lifted her out of hardship.
Today, Ebele is a business owner, mentor and provider. She continues to grow her business and invest in her community. To her, empowerment is not just personal – its transformational.
