We are delighted to share some truly wonderful news: together, we’ve reached the target of our Big Give Christmas Challenge, raising an incredible £180,800.
This is the most we have ever raised through the Big Give, and we couldn’t have done it without the generosity, commitment and belief of our supporters. Every donation, share, and message of encouragement played a part in making this challenge such a success.
What this means in practice
Thanks to you, our partners in Tsavo, Kenya, can now expand their work and reach more communities than ever before. With this funding, they will establish 360 new savings groups, enabling 7,200 families to learn, earn, save and invest.
Savings groups are a powerful, proven way for communities to build financial resilience. By coming together to save regularly and support one another, families can start small businesses, invest in education, respond to emergencies, and plan for the future with confidence. Over time, this leads to greater stability, dignity and opportunity.
Why the Big Give matters
The Big Give Christmas Challenge is unique because it doubles the impact of every donation. During the campaign, gifts were matched pound for pound, meaning supporters’ generosity went twice as far. That collective effort is what made it possible to reach – and exceed – this target.
For us, this campaign was about more than a fundraising total. It was about partnership: supporters standing alongside communities, and communities leading their own journey to resilience.
